ABOUT US
Turbulence and speculation in the financial markets is making it increasingly difficult for investors to recognize stocks with real intrinsic value. There is one fundamental component of the economy that has shown a consistent correlation with stocks valuation. This component is INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP).
The market value of corporations such as Microsoft, Research In Motion and Apple has been worth at one point or another up to 1000% of their book value! This "hidden" value represents, in large measure, investors' estimation of the INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY of these companies.
In today's KNOWLEDGE ECONOMY, fundamental value is more and more created by INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (commonly abbreviated as IP). PATENTS, which represent the most important form of IP, have been around for centuries and have always contributed to the creation of value in our economy.
However, extracting useful financial information from IP is difficult and requires extensive analysis. But this information, once uncovered, is a POWERFUL tool to identify undervalued stocks. A powerful tool to identify fundamental intrinsic value.
theIPinvestor.com analyzes patents and patent statistics to provide you with novel financial tools based on IP parameters. With special industry sectors indexes and updates on important trends in patents, professional stock analysts, executives as well as individual investors will find valuable information at theIPinvestor.com to assist them in their investment decisions.
We also provide THE IP INVESTOR, a financial newsletter specializing in exploiting INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY information to identify undervalued stocks. Every month your investments benefit from recommendations of stocks that have been selected based on their IP value.
But be careful! Not all companies that possess PATENTS are necessarily a good investment! Some may even be overvalued based on their IP. THE IP INVESTOR financial newsletter does the hard work for you and identifies and recommends stocks that are undervalued on the basis of their IP!
Stocks recommendations in THE IP INVESTOR rely on a statistical analysis based on an historical correlation between the number of patents, investment in Research and Development and the market value of companies as well as on a fundamental analysis of the IP assets of companies. Importantly the method takes into account the fact that Intellectual Property is valued differently in different sectors of economic activity. Finding companies that have created real value through Research and Development and that have effectively protected this KNOWLEDGE with PATENTS is what THE IP INVESTOR specializes in.
